Description: Experience life on the farm in beautiful Culpeper County. Visit a variety of farms growing everything from herbs and cut flowers to cattle and bison. Description: Culpeper Renaissance's eighth annual "Taste of Culpeper, a wine, food, and arts festival" will take place Sunday, October 7 in historic downtown Culpeper at the Depot. Experience the very best in Virginia wines, microbreweries and local cuisine from noon until 5:00 p.m. Discover treasures for your home and your table from local artisans and crafters. Fun and festivities for the entire family will promise an enjoyable fall afternoon. FREE activities for children include face painting, moonbounce, art projects, games and much more.

Culpeper Downtown 4rd Annual Restaurant Week:

Location: Participating Restaurants in Historic Downtown Culpeper
Organized by: Culpeper Renaissance Inc.
Description: If you've been waiting for a special occasion to explore the robust and diverse mix of downtown Culpeper restaurants, you now have one: Culpeper Renaissance's 4th Annual Restaurant Week. Started by local restaurateurs in 2009, the event encourages diners to break out of typical work-week patterns and share a meal with family and friends. With specially priced menu options -- $25 per person includes a 3-course dinner of appetizer, entrée, and dessert -- it's a great excuse to revisit old favorites or try something new. Stay tuned for participating restaurants to make a reservation.

13th Annual Culpeper Airport Air Fest:
Saturday, October 13, 2012

Description: Come out and view life from another angle - see Culpeper County from the air! This FREE event has something for the entire family. This years Air Fest promises to be spectacular! You'll see Restored Antiques, Classics, Military Trainers, Fighters, Helicopters, Jets, and Model Airplanes. The Bealeton Flying Circus along with their spectacular wing-walking event will leave you breathless. See the FARM Club and their unique radio controlled model airplanes, Dr. Smoke and his Marchetti that emits red, white and blue smoke, Sean Carroll with his Yak-9, Kevin Russo and his powerful T6, and others performing in the afternoon. The spectacular War Birds based here at Culpeper, including the Percival Provost - a Royal Air Force trainer and other magnificently restored military aircraft of the Commemorative Air Force's immaculately kept museum will also be on display. And once again, the highlight of this year's AirFest is the only privately-owned "Harrier" in the world, flown by Art Nalls. Bring your friends and family and enjoy the show together. The Culpeper County Parks & Recreation Department will host a number of kids activities, including face painting. Kids ages 8-17 can sign up for free airplane rides. Food & Drinks will be available from various vendors, including hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, pizza and more.
