The Culpeper Department of Tourism is very pleased to introduce the new Culpeper Visitor Guide! This guide expands the information provided in the blue Culpeper rack brochure, and provides greater detail to a visitor about what there is to see and do in Culpeper. It will serve as their comprehensive Go-To Guide for the entirety of their stay, and will complement the numerous smaller maps and attraction brochures that are already distributed through the Visitor Center.
There are detailed sections on "Culpeper History", an "Annual Calendar of Events", "Outdoor Recreation", "Lodging", "Dining", "Local Arts & Theatre", and much more. A section titled "Self-Guided Tours & Trails" will provide visitors with information on additional brochures to make their stay more enjoyable. Another valuable section is "Recommended Reading and Resources", which should be of special interest to our Heritage and Genealogy visitors.
The new Visitor Guide will be distributed to tourists at the Visitor Center, key Culpeper attractions, and area hotels and B&B's. Visitors may also request a free copy of the guide by email to info@visitculpeperva.com.

Which way do you want to go? When you're touring the central Piedmont, you'll soon discover it really doesn't matter. A good ride awaits you in any direction. Culpeper Tourism's latest brochure guides motorcycle riders and Sunday drivers through the most beautiful routes with a new brochure, "Piedmont Pathways: Day Rides and Sunday Drives from Culpeper, Virginia". Author, cycle enthusiast, and Culpeper native Dale Coyner provided the rich content for this brochure, which reads like his several exciting books "Motorcycle Journeys Through the Appalachians" and "The Essential Guide to Motorcycle Travel".
As the brochure name suggests, all rides begin and end in Culpeper, and provide detailed scenic routes, historical information and suggestions on where to load up on needed provisions. Free copies are now available at the Visitors Center or may be ordered through the brochure request page on this website!

The Culpeper Department of Tourism offers a Power Point presentation entitled "Exploring Your Own Backyard". A representative of the Department of Tourism will be happy to come to your club meeting to present the program, giving an overview of the varied history of Culpeper, places to visit, and upcoming events.
Why is being a tourist in your own backyard important? Tourism has been proven to be a significant generator of economic production, employment and revenue. Money and jobs stay in the community that benefit the community! Tourism also results in an appreciation for the quality of life that we as residents enjoy here. The very qualities that make a place attractive to tourists also make it a special place to live. For example, Culpeper residents are fortunate to enjoy the history, culture, natural beauty, and recreation every day! The benefits generated by tourism, economic and otherwise, make preservation of the area likely for generations to come.
If you would like to schedule this program for your club or organization, please contact the Tourism office at 540-727-0611 or via e-mail at director@visitculpeperva.com.
